Mrs. Gladys Wallace is a meek, humble, quiet-spirited virtuous woman of God. She is the wife of Bishop Charles E. Wallace, and the First Lady of Oasis Christian Church. She is an ordained minister of the gospel, who rightly divides the Word of God. First Lady Wallace's personality exemplifies an excerpt of a song which lyrics state "although she didn't say a word, every word she said was heard." Her character speaks volumes. It says righteousness, holiness, wisdom, gratefulness, gentleness, and loveliness. She is the epitome of the Proverbs 31 woman.
She works closely with her husband within various ministries of the church, including the Marriage Enrichment Ministry, the Ministerial Ministry and she is a member of the Oasis Christian Church Advisory Board. Her ministry also includes giving, sowing seeds into the lives of others, and teaching the Word of God. She is in the soul saving business. Her involvement in the body of Christ has been abundant. She is one that gives her best wherever she can be a blessing to God's people and for His Kingdom. Ministering in song, traveling with her husband, sewing, and photography are her favorite activities.
Of the union to her best friend, her covering and Pastor since June 24, 1972, three blessed daughters were born: Caroline Wallace, Charita Smith (Charlie), Shalonda Wallace Golden (Dexter) and two grandsons, Solomon Wallace Golden and Samuel Dexter Golden. First Lady Wallace is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Bailey (Leola) and has five siblings.
Mrs. Wallace is more than just a First Lady. She is a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a mentor to many, and a Godly example to all. "Strength and honor are her clothing...Her children arise up and call her blessed: her husband also, and he praiseth her."
The Oasis Christian Church Family is thankful to have such a spiritual and loving First Lady.
