Bishop Charles E. Wallace is founder and pastor of Oasis Christian Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is a preacher, teacher, and leader who have been serving in the ministry since 1980 and pastoring since 1989. Bishop Wallace incorporates a global vision for his ministry that is based on the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19-20, which states “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
Oasis Christian Church (OCC) has been identified as a “watering hole in a dry and barren land.” The church serves as an “Oasis” of Christian ministry for the masses at their level of understanding. Bishop Wallace has a heart for the hurting and strives to reach out to individuals who are lost, hurt, disconnected or simply needs to be revived in their faith.
Bishop Wallace is a graduate of Christian Bible College of Baton Rouge with a bachelor’s degree in Theology and an honorary Doctorate of Divinity degree. He has trained and taught in national conferences and seminars. Bishop Wallace has been called a “Pastor’s Pastor” because he has a heart for pastors—a desire to help them fulfill their purpose. He is the founder and leader of Remnant of Christ (ROC), which is the manifestation of a vision God, gave him years ago. ROC is a ministry comprised of pastors and churches that have submitted their ministries under the leadership of Bishop Wallace for ministerial and pastoral support, guidance and fellowship.
When he preaches, he makes deposits in the lives of the listeners. Armed with wit, a little humor and the Holy Spirit, Bishop Wallace sets out to preach messages with simplicity, clarity, accuracy, and power. His God-given unique style has touched the lives of many. Equipping and maturing the believer for works of service in an effort to build up the Body of Christ, Bishop Wallace incorporates the teaching and training of families in living victoriously by the Word.
A native of Baton Rouge, and a product of Eden Park (a section of the city where he was reared); Bishop Wallace has been married to First Lady Gladys Wallace since 1972. They are the parents of three blessed daughters: Caroline Wallace, Charita Smith (Charlie), and Shalonda Wallace Golden (Dexter), and two grandsons, Solomon Wallace Golden and Samuel Dexter Golden.
Oasis Christian Church is a ministry that operates in excellence. Following the leadership of its Pastor, OCC is a church that loves God, hates sin, and is always willing to give.
